Bentley Motors has unveiled the 2021 Continental GT Speed, which the company claims are its most dynamic road car.
The third-generation Continental GT Speed performance grand tourer has a 6.0-litre W12 twin-turbocharged motor that produces 650 BHP and 900 Nm.
The motor is connected to an 8-speed DCT, which sends the motor’s energy to all four wheels. The car can run from 0 to 100 km/hr in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 335 km/hr (208 MPH).
Bentley has made this Continental GT Speed extremely powerful by giving it an “advanced” chassis technology that is unique to the model. The new electronic all-wheel steering has a faster ratio and an electronic limit slip differential (eLSD), and the torque distribution of active all-wheel drives has been recalibrated.
A new carbon ceramic brake system is available for the performance grand tourer. This saves 33kg of unsprung mass. The system features 10-piston front callipers with 4-piston rears, which sit flush behind the 22-inch alloy wheels.
It is a luxury car, but it can be controlled. The stop-start and cylinder deactivate tech can be activated, and the car can go into “Comfort” mode (Bentley or Sport are two other modes). The 3-chamber active suspension with adaptive damping will do the rest.
The Speed model has been given styling updates to enhance its unique character. Speed Badging in chrome is available on the radiator grille, air dam grille, and fuel filler caps.
The cabin is decorated with leather and Alcantara and has a duotone colour scheme. There are many personalization options available. There are 11 main hide colours and 15 secondary hide colours. The cabin can also be completely covered in leather if you wish.
The seats are diamond-in-diamond quilted and have “Speed” embroidered headrests. Various veneers are available for the GT Speed, including Piano Black (standard), Crown Cut Walnut and Dark Stained Burr Walnut.
The 2021 Bentley Continental GT Speed includes a digital instrument panel for the driver and a rotating central display. Illuminated treadplates are also standard features.
